Who We Are

SD United is an open & affirming youth group for teens in 6-12th grade throughout San Diego.

We consider ourselves a "cooperative" youth group because we want to serve as a hub, bringing together faith communities and families from across San Diego who find a home in our youth group. 

Led  by vibrant, compassionate, and trained youth staff from various walks of life and denominations, we seek to welcome all as we follow Jesus, ask questions, and grow in faith and community.

SD United is guided by two pastors - Marshela Salgado-Solorio (Associate Minister at University Christian Church) and Melissa Tucker (Minister of Congregational Care, Children, & Youth at Normal Heights United Church), in partnership with leaders from various house churches and congregations throughout SD County.  Longtime friends from undergraduate days, Marshela and Melissa are are completely blown away they get to partner in this exciting, special way.
